Creamy, Spicy Pasta!!

If you’re looking for a super easy, crowd pleasing pasta recipe... you’ve come to the right place! This pasta is so creamy, with just the right amount of heat. Enjoy!!

Serves: 8


Ingredients:


2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 Lb Hot Italian Sausage (casing removed)

1 Lb Cremini Mushrooms, sliced

1 24oz Jar of Marinara Sauce (I use Rao’s)

1 Cup Medium Cheddar Cheese, grated

1/4 Cup Heavy Cream

3/4 Lb of Dry Penne Pasta

Freshly grated parmigiano reggiano to garnish



In a large pot of boiling water, cook the penne pasta. While the pasta is cooking, heat a deep sauté pan over medium high heat. Add the EVOO to coat the pan. Add the sausage (make sure the casing is removed first!). Cook until the sausage is browned (about 5-6 minutes). Add the mushrooms, and cook for another 5-6 minutes. If the pan seems dry at this point, add a little more oil. Stir often as the mushrooms and meat are cooking. Add the marinara sauce, stir well. Add the cheese, stir well. Add the cream, stir well. Drain the pasta, and add it to the sauce. Stir well to incorporate the pasta into the sauce mixture. Before serving, top with freshly grated parmigiano reggiano, and enjoy!!
